When I very first visited Sweden at the tender age of nine, I totally fell in love with my Swedish friends’ summer season cottage. It was every thing you would affiliate with the Swedish summer: a picturesque red and white cottage surrounded by woodland, lakes and the sweet scent of roses. Oh, and possibly the odd mosquito! When I stumbled across Alex and Erika’s place household on-line yesterday, it took me straight again to that summer season! Affectionately regarded as

It is really not that unheard of for Swedish cottages to have an outside loo with no operating drinking water. I not too long ago stayed at Helen’s charming location which was the very same! It took me again to the days I expended Grandmother’s residence. Granny Ruth had an outside and indoor loo. We never ever applied the out
door just one as it was normally total of spiders!
But the kinds I have expert in Sweden are so significantly fresher – specifically soon after a make-over!
Outdoor loo
Erika and Alex have totally spruced up their outdoor bathroom – introducing wood panelling which has been painted in the exact hue as the cottage interior.
They’ve also included home comforts these as a hand towel, magazines, fresh new wildflowers and maybe most importantly – a vintage h2o tank for washing arms.
The standout piece although, has to be the superb antique dresser – it provides this kind of a homely touch!
What a variance!
Their backyard garden is only magical – particularly in summertime. It has me dreaming of midsummer (which is only 8 months absent!) and lengthy summertime times alfresco!
