Larkspur’s Lark Theater celebrates $2.5M renovation

The $2.5 million renovation of Larkspur’s historic Lark Theater is wrapping up this week right after a year of delays, soaring costs and partial openings.

The 82-year-outdated theater at 549 Magnolia Ave. acquired a finish facelift but stays true to its artwork-deco model.

Inside work consists of a new foyer, concessions place, seating, lighting and an added adjustable stage for dwell occasions. New showcase windows, marquee lights and upgraded box office environment also had been included.

A reopening celebration is set for 5 p.m. Thursday and will attribute wine and hors d’oeuvres, dwell music, theater excursions and a ceremony.

A broadcast screening of the musical live performance “Ball and Boe,” showcasing functions Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, also is planned.

The event coincides with the Still left Bank’s Bastille Working day celebration on Magnolia Avenue. Tickets for the screening are $12 to $24. More info is at
